To our clients,

As concerns rise about the current COVID-19 public health crisis, we would like to ask all of our clients with ANY signs of respiratory illness (even a cold) to avoid visiting our clinic regardless of travel history.

To our clients,

As concerns rise about the current COVID-19 public health crisis, we would like to ask all of our clients with ANY signs of respiratory illness (even a cold) to avoid visiting our clinic regardless of travel history. In addition, we would request that any clients who have travelled to a country with an active travel health notice on the Government of Canada website refrain from visiting our office for 14 days following your return. If you have a clinic appointment scheduled and are unable to come to the clinic, please call your midwife to make an appropriate plan. If you require any telephone guidance regarding possible exposure, please call your local public health unit. If you are breathless or feeling critically unwell please go to your closest ER where universal precautions can be taken. Your midwife can’t “check you out” for COVID-19 and we have no testing kits available.

At this time, we would also like to request that clients refrain from bringing children and support people to our office if at all possible. While we do understand that pregnancy is a special time in a family, this individual need must be balanced against the needs of all of the clients, midwives and staff that visit our clinic every day.

While the rates of COVID-19 remain low in our country and there does not seem to be any increased risk for pregnant women and young children at this time, it is critical that we do everything that we can to avoid spreading this virus further. We are taking these measures, not just for our clients, but also for our midwives and staff. We are a small practice and even one sick or self-isolated member of our group could have an impact on client care.

For more information on COVID-19 symptoms and advices on self isolation please visit . Please do not hesitate to contact the office should you require any additional information.

Yours in good health,
